Southern Districts Spartans

Southern Districts is one of Queensland’s most successful basketball associations. Since 1990 the club has won 1 National and 19 State ABA/ABL championships, over 40 Queensland Junior Championships and countless regional and divisional titles. In that time the club has been home to 29 Australian representatives and over 350 State representatives, 13 AIS scholarship holders, 13 WNBL players and 11 NBL representatives. We want to continue this proud tradition with the current crop of fine young athletes that call Southern Districts home.

Southern Districts Basketball Association is located at the Rowland Cowan Stadium at Carina which boasts facilities that rank amongst the best in Queensland. The stadium is home to the Spartans SEABL teams as well as the ‘Brisbane Spinning Bullets’ Queensland’s only National Wheelchair Basketball League team.
